Coffee Bags:

Each component of our coffee bags (inner lining, zipper, valve, stickers) are individually certified compostable, meets ASTM D6400 certifications/standards, is vegan, non-GMO, non-PLA, and does not contain harmful chemicals such as BPA, PFAS, or phthalates.

Material components of our packaging:

The zipper is made of a corn-based bio-plastic.

The de-gassing valve is made of starch-based bio-resin.

The white kraft paper is wood cellulose with FSC certified paper material.

The layers within the bag are wood cellulose and a mixture of cassava, potatoes, and others (whichever crop is doing better that year or is more plentiful) to then turn into a bio-film.

We encourage you to use our packaging in your home compost. The bags will decompose in a reasonable time and are non-toxic - resulting in healthy compost. Results may vary depending on the conditions of compost. Some variants which may change the decay time of our packaging include climate, season, carbon-nitrogen mixture, and air circulation.

Transparency: Yes, our packaging will break down with proper composting conditions, however, like food waste and other organic materials our packaging will not break down properly in the landfill. Landfills do not have the correct combinations of materials, oxygen, heat, or moisture to properly break down organic matter for healthy decomposition. Adaptogen Powders:

We've intentionally chosen The New New Age brand of adaptogenic mushroom and herbal powders because they are packaged in glass with a metal lid.

Glass can be recycled forever.

Weighted Meditation Eye Covers:

The retails boxes are made of post-consumer card and are recyclable.

The Eye Covers themselves are made with linen (an organic material derived from flax) and filled with flaxseed.
